A healthy community is one that provides for the basic needs of all its members. It is a place where people come together to make the community better for themselves and their neighbors. It is also a process in which local people work together on local issues they care about. Becoming part of the Maine's New Public Health Infrastructure HCCA is also part of a statewide system of Comprehensive Community Health Coalitions (CCHC) throughout Maine that are:
